Artwork Shawn Mullins - Currently Anthony is working in Nashville with producer Peter Collins, and engineer Paul Hagar on the follow-up single for Shawn Mullins's #1 smash 'Lullaby'. The next single 'Shimmer', features some crunchy AJR grooves, percussion, bleeps, and more satellite telemetry. Two versions were worked on. One the radio single, the other a more trippy, partly spoken word, style "Liquid Center Mix"

Collette Van Sertima - Also while in Nashville, AJR will be working with RCA artist Collette Van Sertima, on a single called, 'I am me'. Jeff "Gizmo" Calder played a brilliant Wurlitzer piano part on the song at the Liquid Center of the Rhythm Factory.

Collective Soul - Collective Souls record is complete, just mastered by Ted Jenson. There are twelve tracks on the album, AJR contributed rhythm programming/synths/and additional recording on 8.

Splashdown - Anthony Resta and Karyadi Sutedja, recorded live drums and percussion for Glenn Ballard's new Label "Java/Capitol" with ultra-modern trip-pop trio Splashdown. The songs 'Sugar High', 'Nomadic', and 'All things' are on their upcoming spring release. We used the new "Earthworks" omni mic on Center kit and it sounds really phat and true.

Suze Demarchi - Suze's first single as a solo artist after leaving Baby Animals, has been received well in Australia, selling 20,000 units in the first two weeks. AJR and Nuno worked on the record earlier this year at Longview Farm in North Brookfield.

El Camino/Fletcher -AJR has been working with producer "Fletcher" on some rhythm section pre-pro up at the Rhythm Factory, with "El Camino".

Siberia - Karyadi and AJR have begun an EP with NY duo Siberia featuring John West and Eve who also can be called Randy. Their dark sound scapes are Dali influenced pop music with elements of spaghetti western, and trip hop. We are really excited about this teaming up. We will complete the EP by the spring.

Beloved Few - The Beloved Few featuring Dave Stephanelli and Micheal Troy, came in to work on some FX for their upcoming live shows.

Nuno - Nuno Bettencourt's new CD is completed, it features one song co-written and produced by Nuno and AJR called 'True Love in the Galaxy'. It will be available first in Japan, by Christmas....

Annette Kramer - The much anticipated CD 'The Space between Breath and Silence' is finally completed. The artwork is underway, and after mastering it will be available here on this website as we shop the masters for a deal. Annette is well known for her work with Opium Den who did two records on Dutch East.

Giorgi Bano - Producers Giorgi Bano and Stu Kimbal will be coming in to finish the track 'Journey' and work on a new one. Giorgi has a really beautiful voice, somewhere between Kate bush and Tori Amos, but definitely with her own flavor.

Paul Michaels - Karyadi began tracking some stuff for Paul Michaels while AJR is in Nashville. Paul's band Stunn Leer has been doing well overseas.

Upcoming Projects - MC Force a.k.a. the Sorcerer, more Siberia, Scott the kid from the liquor store, could be the next Kurt Cobain? More news by February.

September

Collective Soul - Anthony has just been working on two more Collective Soul songs at his studio. One Ross Childress wrote called "Dandy Life" was sent on ADAT, AJR added some quirky keyboards, synths, beatbox and drumstuff. (Casiotone 405, Gulbranson PaceMaker, Chamberlin Guitar, Aliens ATe my Buick patch he programmed on the nord lead 2). The second track tentatively called " The Airport Groove" (Anthony programmed the basic tracks on a Yamaha QY70 on the plane to Atlanta) is Anthonys first Collaboration with singer/songwriter/producer Ed Roland, very funky, hi-tech yet retro. Ed said it sounded like a cross between early Inxs, and Talking Heads. It's pure techno pop that the band will add their signature edge on top of. This concludes AJR's work on the record, so far the 12th track he has contributed to. The album is scheduled for a February 1999 release.
Anthony would like to thank Karyadi for all his assistance, and Henk Kooistra at 9 West Mastering for making the rough mixes sound so impressive.

David Z - Techno wiz David Z from Washington, (not David Z the producer from the south) has locked out 10 days at the studio. Karyadi will be engineering the tracks. Anthony will contribute some groove stuff.

Annette Kramer - Anthony and Annette will head into Prophet Sound later in the month to finish their much anticipated EP. Its a mixture of middle eastern influences, alternative guitar based rock, and electronica. The 5 tracks will be mixed by audio guru, Bob St. John.

Interplanet Janet - Anthony and Janet will be completing a four song project to shop next spring. Space Age Industrial TRIPop is a ball park aproximation of what it's sounding like.

John Totaro - John and Anthony will be collaborating on producing some of John's great classic American songwriting with some dust brothers type loops and vinyl samples. Should be fun.

Georgie Bano - Producer Stu Kimball and Georgie have booked some dates for rhythm programming in October.

August

Nuno - Anthony has had to ask Nuno Bettencourt to vacate his studio. They were unable to finalize a contract after nearly three months of negotiations. They have decided it better to remain friends than let the business destroy that.
Anthony co-produced and co-wrote one song called "True Love in the Galaxy" which may or may not be on the record.
AJR says the songs are fantastic and Nuno is playing lots of great classic riffs and Extreme fans as well as new fans will love it. He hopes to rejoin Nuno at some point to complete some songs they co-wrote and do some post-production work.

Other projects - Anthony will continue work with Collective Soul, Annette Kramer, NOK, Jawn P., Interplanet Janet, and programming for Duran Duran for the remainder of the year.

Bopnique Studio - Nuno, Mike Mangini, and Donovan have been rehearsing from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am for a festival in England. Anthony has been working the day shift on some programming for the next Duran Duran record.

Nuno - Upon Nuno and band's return, the studio will be locked out for aprox. 6 to 8 weeks to record a new record for Polydor. A majority will be recorded directly into a new 24 bit Pro-Tools System, along with Anthony's virtual tracks. This will all be dumped to 48 track analog and mixed by audio Guru Bob St. John. Karyadi will be assisting NUNO and AJR for the duration of the project.

Collective Soul - In July Anthony will take a week off to go to Atlanta and help mix some of the 8 songs he worked on at Criteria and at Ed Rolands studio in Atlanta for Collective Soul.

Annette Kramer - Late August will be for finally finishing Annette Kramers project. We thank her for her patience and understanding.

(can't spell his last name),BMG recording artist Barbara Sasson, American Music Club, an Enya remix, Interplanet Janet, Siberia, more sci fi mambo trip-pop with Ajax Ray O'Vaque. Stay Tuned!!

February

In February Nuno and Anthony J. head into the studio to work on the new Baby Animals Album for MUSHROOM Records. Anthony also wrote a new song with Nuno Bettencourt that is an amazing cosmic cool pop masterpiece with a title that makes it a hit before you even hear it! Nuno Should have his new record completed by August 1998.

In the meantime Anthony is working on three songs with dance producers Jeff Calder and Mark Ceasar for German soprano opera star Deborah Sasson. Its a high tech blend of classical , triphop and techno that is the brainchild of excecutive producer and manager Jean Rennard.

Alisa Carroll and Anthony collaborated on a song called 'Weeds' mixed by Bob St. John, its like Fiona Apple meets Portishead and Pink Floyd. Alisa's voice will send chills down your spine!

Anthony also finished the Mudhens CD 'Crickets' to be released in March 1998.

The Pro Audio Company Joe Meek is interested in using Anthony Resta and Bob St. John in an add for their highly acclaimed compressors that Bob and Anthony use and abuse on every mix they work on!

Anthony Resta and Micael Troy of the 'Beloved Few' had a song in the January 26 episode of Melrose Place called 'Symphony of Ships'.

Also just released in Video, the Miramax film 'Squeeze' features two songs produced performed and written by Anthony J. Resta and Jawn P. of Jawn P and the Pawnshop.
