David Z - David will be coming in to finish his new record, a nice variety of cool electronica songs. Michael Troy, Aimee Bernard, Steve Sadler, and Jourdan Paul (our new intern) all contributed to the project. We have a Remix and tracking on two more songs to complete....
Collective Soul - Jake Shapiro of Two Ton Shoe was in to cut cello on two Collective Soul tracks and Jake always comes up with really great parts and has a fantastic tone.... thanks Jake!
echohead - Eric Johnson and Jody Frawlee were in tracking on the new echohead stuff. Should be finishing up in October. Eric and Jody co-wrote a fantastic pop song which will add some extra appeal to the new echohead CD.
Mudhens - The Mudhens will be in this month to track a new EP, the songs are really strong and it's going to be a fresh new direction for them!
Other fall projects - a Collective Soul Remix of the song "Vent" from their forthcoming CD "Blender" due out on October 10th. "Blender" was mixed by Jack Joseph Puig, Chris Lord Alge, and Bob St. John and mastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway. Thanks to all these guys for making the record all it could be.
Elton John - Elton John and Ed Roland mention Anthony in an interview where they discuss
Elton's songwriting and piano playing etc... Elton gives out Bernie Taupin's phone # over the air and does some parodies of his hits... Anthony J. Resta's involvement with the Elton/Collective Soul duet "Perfect day" and Shawn Mullins' new record "Beneath the velvet sun" is mentioned about half way through the interview...at: http://www.99x.com/ramfiles/eltonjohn.ram
Caviar - Congrats to Caviar on their self-titled record which was mixed by Paul
Hagar. It's a really cool quirky rock record with elements of Beck, The Beatles and full of great sounds. Listen for the single "Tangerine Speedo".... Really worth picking up!!! AJR contributed Vibes to the track "Sugarless". Thanks to Paul and Blake for not forgetting us in the credits....
Sacred Raisin Cakes - The September issue of Bass Player Magazine mentions the Sacred Raisin Cakes and AJR in a short article discussing the bass on the band's track "Solace"... its a great MP3 to check out at mp3.com
Carl Napa - Congratulations to Carl Napa, a great friend who started out working with
us in the early nineties... Carl recently recorded and mixed an N'Sync song that has gone 9 times platinum..... Way to Go Happy Napa!!!!!
