Demo's of Saturn

This is not your run of the mill CD you can buy from your local HMV, this is the work of one Anthony J. Resta, (DD's co-producer etc.) either on a mission to push the boundaries of music and our pre-conceptions of what we perceive it to be, or on a glorious cocktail of drugs, which, to be frank, I would be extremely interested in.

Picture the scene: Quark's bar on Deep Space 9, huddled in the corner an array of aliens dressed in black roll over sweaters, smoking French cigarettes, nodding in time with the rhythmic poetry and saying "Yeah Groovy" and "Dig this Cat", while our hero Ajax (a Sci-fi mambo poet) delves into the psyche of the other world.

This is what, in my warped mind I imagine when I put it on, but in all fairness Mr. Resta has produced a very interesting album of non commercial poems and songs. If you like your music to be instant and throw-away then this isn't for you. A liking for poetry or performance poetry will get you started before you listen to this, but believe me it is worth the struggle you might have on the first listening.

Duran have been playing the album and TV Mania stuff before the US shows.
