JT answers questionnaire

With this issue of the fanzine, we enclosed a questionnaire which John answered for The Dutch Go Duran. Here are some of our questions and his answers:

Whose idea was it to reform The Power Station and why did you decide to get involved?
I think everyone involved in the last one thought about it at one time or another - Rupert Perry, the chairman of EMI took Robert + I out to dinner and suggested it - I really wanted to wait until Duran had got back into the game properly. Now seemed like a good time - with the covers album we had not planned to tour.
How did the other Duran members react when you told them about The Power Station?
They panicked a little except Simon who perfectly understood.
What is the working title for the next Duran album and when do you hope to release it?
My working title for it is "Trust the Process" and we hope to release it next spring.
Will you tour with it?
YES
Do you have any intention of making up for last September's concert in Rotterdam?
We tried goddammit.
Do you feel that you are in touch with what your fans want?
Am I in touch with what I want? is more to the point I would say!!
If you could be any other member of the band for the day (past or present), who would you be and why?
My instinctive answer is a little too naughty for me to print
